By Marlin Lane.
Clemson verbal commitment Marlin Lane, one of the top running backs in the nation, is doing a weekly diary with TheClemsonInsider.com. In this week’s edition Marlin breaks down his impressive performance Friday, his trip to Clemson for the Maryland game and more!
We won 21-0 this week. We came out and scored on the first drive. We had like five or six 80 yard drives where we got a touchdown or missed a field goal. Other than the missed field goals we played pretty good.
I had a good game. I had 250 yards all purpose. I had 12 carries for 113 yards. I also had two punt returns and two catches. I had one touchdown rushing and one receiving.
It felt good to play like that again. It felt like my old self and better. I felt a lot better.
This week we have a bye and I am coming up to Clemson. Cortez and my dad are coming with me. We will probably leave Friday afternoon.
I am excited to get back up there. This time I am coming for sure. There won’t be any problems. I want to go eat at the Beacon. I want to go to Mac’s Drive In.
I watched some of the Clemson game on television. I didn’t get to watch it all. We are getting better and better every week. It is a young team.
I will come in and do whatever they want me to do. I feel like I can come in and help next year. I will be calling coach Rumph tomorrow to see how things are going.
