Bowers Nationally Ranked

Clemson defensive end DaQuan Bowers ranks in the top four in the nation in both sacks and tackles for loss.  DaQuan has six sacks on the season and ranks fourth in the nation.  With 11.5 tackles for loss Bowers ranks third in the nation. 

DaQuan is a big reason the Tigers rank second in the nation in tackles for loss and 19th in sacks.

Big Plays Didn’t Leave with Spiller

Clemson has four 60-yard TDs from scrimmage this year.  Jaron Brown caught a 74 yard touchdown pass last week from Kyle Parker.  Earlier this year Andre Ellington ran 71 yards for a score and 60 yards for a score.  Parker also hit Brandon Clear on a 70 yard touchdown earlier this year.

Allen Leading Receiver

Dwayne Allen is off to a fast start on the season.  After five games Allen has 18 receptions  for 235 yards.  Allen leads the Tigers in receptions. 

Michael Palmer set the Clemson tight end record for catches in a season last year with 43 catches for 507 yards.  

Hopkins Has Breakout Game

Clemson freshman DeAndre Hopkins had a breakout game for the Tigers against North Carolina.  In his first start Hopkins had seven catches for  46 yards.  Four of the catches gave Clemson a first down. 

DeAndre also had a 31 yard punt return.
