Clemson sophomore Corico Hawkins will be responsible for calling the defenses this weekend when the Tigers try to defeat the Jackets for the first time since 2006.
“Those guys do a great job of running the option over there. Coach Paul Johnson is a great coach. They have great players that fit that scheme. They do a good job. It is all about eyes and playing responsibility football for four quarters,” said Hawkins.
Film study will be critical for the defense this week.
“Definitely, definitely because they run so many things. The three technique side, the one technique side. You have to be prepared for whatever side Josh Nesbitt decides to run the football. You have to know if it is the one technique side or the three and what type of runner will go to that side,” said Hawkins.
