Bowers: "We fell short"

Clemson junior defensive end DaQuan Bowers knows the Tigers let many of their goals slip away with the loss at Boston College.

“We knew what we had to do to come out and reach our goals.  We fell short.  Now we are just playing for the rest of the season.  We have to come out and get ready for NC State.  Just because we lost this one doesn’t mean our season is over.  We have to come back out ready to work and finish with a strong season,” said Bowers.

How does the team move forward knowing that many of the goals are off the table?

“We just have to come back to work and keep grinding.  We can’t lose focus on what our real goal is.  We have to continue to play better for each other,” said Bowers.

Boston College didn’t surprise the Tigers with their game plan.

“We knew exactly what they were going to try to do.  Coming into the game they had the leading rusher in the ACC, Montel Harris.  He did a great job today,” said Bowers.
