Clemson Defense Only Four Touchdowns Last Four Games
Clemson’s defense has been coming on strong. Over the last four games they have allowed just four touchdowns. Clemson has allowed just one touchdown in each of the last four games. Clemson, TCU and West Virginia are the only schools in the country that can make sure a claim.
Parker Has Success Against FSU
Kyle Parker has had success against Florida State in both baseball and football. On March 21, 2009 Kyle hit a two-run homer in the top of the 11th inning to provide Clemson and 8-7 victory. In the fall of 2009 Kyle led the Tigers to a 40-24 victory over the Noles. Kyle hit 18-30 passes for 242 yards and four touchdowns.
DaQuan Bowers is having one of the best years ever for a Clemson defensive lineman. Bowers leads the nation in sacks with 12.5 through nine games. He also leads the nation in tackles for loss with 20.
DaQuan is a semifinalist for the Lombardi Award and the Bednarik Award. Bowers has recorded a sack in eight of the first nine games and seven in a row.
Last week Bowers had two sacks against NC State
The Tigers rank 12th in the nation in scoring defense.
Balance on Defense
While DaQuan Bowers leads the nation in sacks and tackles for loss, DeAndre McDaniel is 16th in the nation in interceptions.
Rashard Hall leads the team with 55 tackles, an average of 6.1 per game. No Clemson defender ranks in the top 25 in the ACC in tackles.
