2010 Baseball Team Receives Rings Tuesday

Clemson, SC – The 2010 Clemson baseball players and coaches will receive their College World Series rings prior to the Tigers’ men’s basketball game against Michigan on Tuesday at 9:00 PM in Littlejohn Coliseum.  The ceremony will take place on the court at approximately 8:50 PM.

The Tigers made their 12th trip to the College World Series in 2010 and had a 45-25 overall record.  Clemson finished in a tie for third place in the nation with its two wins in Omaha, victories over top-ranked Arizona State and #6 Oklahoma.  The Tigers’ seven NCAA Tourney wins and two College World Series wins both tied school records.

Clemson, who finished the season ranked #4 in the Collegiate Baseball poll, also won the ACC Atlantic Division title by sweeping #7 Florida State and the end of the regular season and captured the Auburn (AL) Regional title as well as the Clemson Super Regional Championship.
