It was very bittersweet for us Rally Cats to have our last team practice this past Wednesday night as we all start heading home for the holidays. We, of course, are all anxious to get home and relax and not have to worry about school work or tests, but at the same time, we are all going to miss each other! Luckily, a lot of the team will be able to return to Clemson for the many different basketball games that will be happening over our month long Holiday break!
The Clemson basketball team put up a good fight against Michigan on Tuesday night. Unfortunately Clemson took a 69-61 loss to the Michigan Wolverines, but the Tigers made it a very entertaining game all the way to the last second. The Rally Cats had a wonderful time on Tuesday, cheering on our Tigers as they fought hard to catch up on the score board. With the game being televised on ESPN2, this helped fill Littlejohn with loud Clemson fans that showed their Tigers an outstanding amount of support throughout the entirety of the game. We Rallies really enjoyed the big crowd as we got to perform a very entertaining Hip Hop dance during halftime. We had such a fun time on the court dancing at halftime, and we look forward to after the break when we can all be back on the court together dancing our hearts out.
Since practice has come to an end this semester, we are all looking forward for exam week to come to an end as well. Studying has taken over all of our lives as we approach a week full of nothing but… EXAMS! Although we can’t wait for the Holiday break, we also cannot believe how fast this semester has flown by! As we move into next semester we have a number of team goals that we look forward to accomplishing. One of our goals for next semester is, us preparing for nationals, which take place mid-April in Daytona, FL. We are extremely excited to start working on our national’s routine and preparing ourselves mentally and physically for the big competition.
Football season is officially over and things are coming to an end with all of our classes, but one other thing that the Rally Cats are looking forward to, is seeing if the Clemson Football team will be asked to go to a bowl game! We would love to support our Tigers one more time this year, and we are crossing our fingers that we will get the chance! Until then, we will be studying, acing our finals, and enjoying family time during the Holidays!
Happy Holidays, from the Clemson Rally Cats!
