MacLain Working Anthony for Tigers

Clemson verbal commitment Eric MacLain will get to battle some of his future teammates this week as he plays for the North Carolina Shrine Bowl team.

TheClemsonInsider.com caught up with MacLain after Monday afternoon’s practice session.  Eric talked about the Shrine Bowl experience and visiting the Shriners hospital on Sunday.

MacLain has been hard at work trying to recruit for the Tigers.  As the team boarded the bus after practice most of the players had their Shrine Bowl jackets on, but Eric proudly wore his Clemson jacket.  The Tigers would love to add a stud linebacker to their top five class and Stephon Anthony is one of Eric’s teammates this week.  MacLain told TCI Monday afternoon that right now he thinks the Tigers are No. 2 for Anthony, trailing Florida.  Anthony is planning to take an official visit to Clemson in January.
