McDaniel's Final Game as a Tiger

Clemson senior safety DeAndre McDaniel will put on the Clemson uniform for one final time Friday as he hopes to help the Tigers win the Meineke Car Care Bowl.

TheClemsonInsider.com caught up with DeAndre Thursday as he reflected on his senior season and looked ahead to his future.

How has he enjoyed the week in Charlotte?

“It has been a fun experience.  It is just another time for this team to bond.  We have been enjoying ourselves with the team activities.  It has been fun.”

DeAndre has spent a lot of time thinking about Friday being the last time he will wear a Clemson uniform.

“I think about that all the time.  I knew it was going to come to an end soon and it ends tomorrow.  I am going to try to end it with a blast and make my last game my best game,” said McDaniel.

Looking back on his decision to return for his senior year DeAndre does not regret the decision.

“I feel I made the right decision.  I got my degree which was one of the goals that I wanted.  The other goal was to get the championship and we didn’t get the champtionship but I still feel like we came out and played every game.  We played well against the best.  We just didn’t get the breaks,” said McDaniel.

What would be the ideal game for DeAndre on Friday?

“A two pick game.  I am going for two tomorrow,” said McDaniel.
