Jarrett Reacts to Rumph News

Clemson verbal commitment Grady Jarrett heard the news Tuesday this coach Rumph will be leaving for Alabama.

The top defensive lineman was close to coach Rumph who was his recruiter.

“Me and coach Rumph were real close.  He was one of the main reasons I was going to go to Clemson.  I don’t know if I will still go there or not,” said Jarrett.

Grady had not heard from the Clemson staff as of Tuesday afternoon.

“I haven’t talked to any of the coaches yet.  I want to talk with them to see what is going on,” said Jarrett.

Is the Georgia standout still firm with the Tigers?

“I am still committed, but I want to talk with the staff to see what I am going to do,” replied Jarrett.

Coach Brooks will be Grady’s position coach if he signs with the Tigers.

“I am also close with coach Brooks, but I haven’t heard from him yet,” said Jarrett.

The Tigers will get a chance to firm things up with Grady during his official visit in a few weeks.

“I am going to come up for my official.  I am not yet sure if it will be the weekend of the 15 or the following weekend.  It will depend on my wrestling schedule,” said Jarrett.
