According to several sources Chris Rumph has accepted a position on the Alabama coaching staff.  Rumph is expected to be the defensive line coach at Alabama.

Coach Rumph was the recruiter for several of Clemson’s top 2011 verbal commitments.  Marlin Lane, Cortez Davis and Grady Jarrett were all recruited by Rumph.

Coach Rumph played defensive end at South Carolina and came to Clemson in 2006 to coach defensive ends.

Chris becomes the third coach to leave the Clemson football program in the past three days.  Offensive coordinator Billy Napier and Andre Powell were relieved of their duties on Sunday.
