Minute with Marlin, Coaches Visit

By Marlin Lane.

Clemson verbal commitment Marlin Lane, one of the top running backs in the nation, is doing a diary with TheClemsonInsider.com.  In this edition Marlin discusses his visit today from the Clemson staff, what he heard about other interviews and much more!

The Clemson coaches came by to see me today.  Coach Cheese, coach Pearman, coach Steele and coach Jeff Scott.

They told me everything will still be the same, it will just be at a faster tempo.  They said they were  going to run the ball more next year.

They talked about coach Morris, but also said they were interviewing two or three other candidates today.  They told me I would know who it is on Sunday.

I feel a lot more comfortable now.  I am still committed to Clemson.  I am the same as I always have been, 100 percent.

I am going to take some other visits just so I have a backup plan.  I am pretty sure all of the recruits would do that if they lost a coordinator, their recruiting coach and their position coach.  I want to make sure I have the opportunity to go to another school if things don’t workout at Clemson.

I am going to visit Miami tomorrow.  I am going to Clemson on the 14th.  Then I will visit Florida State.  That will be it.
