The news of Clemson’s new offensive coordinator spread quickly on Sunday. caught up with a number of the class of 2011 verbal commits to get their reaction to the hiring of Chad Morris.

US Army All-American Sammy Watkins had this response, “Great, get ready for a show”.

Shrine Bowl tight end Eric MacLain looks forward to meeting the new coordinator next weekend during his official visit.

“I am ecstatic about the hire.  I can’t wait to meet him in person,” said MacLain.

Shrine Bowl offensive lineman Shaq Anthony had this reaction, “I believe it is a good more for Clemson”.

Shrine Bowl athlete Adam Humphries believes Coach Morris and the move to the spread will be perfect for the 2011 class.

“I feel like the spread offense will fit the class we have coming in this year better,” said Humphries.

Future Clemson receiver Martavis Bryant had this reaction.

“Sounds good to me.  I like the spread offense,” said Bryant.

Porter Gaud receiver Stanton Seckinger is also excited about the hire.

“I think he is a great addition to the staff and think that the spread will work well with the personel that we have,” said Seckinger.

Recruits coming to Clemson on January 14 for their official visits are expected to get their first chance to meet Clemson’s new offensive coordinator.
