Watkins Talks Injury, Visits

Infusion Sports caught up with Sammy Watkins following the US Army All-American game.  Is Sammy still planning other visits?

Although Sammy Watkins didn’t catch any passes in the US Army All-American game he  showed his speed on two plays as he easily separated from the  defensive backs.  On two plays the East team threw long towards the endzone to Sammy.  Both times he was wide open by yards, but the passes were out of bounds.

An injury may have limited Sammy’s opportunities during the game.

“Not at all.  It is a team thing.  I am out here  just playing for the team.  I had a little injury so they really didn’t want to get the ball to me.  I was just a decoy out there.  I had fun.  It was a great experience with the coaches and the Army” said Watkins.

What was the injury?

“My hip.  I am alright.  I didn’t pull it or anything.  I was just out there running around a little bit,” responded Watkins.

Does he still plan to visit Florida?

“I don’t know yet.  I have to talk it over with my parents.  Most likely they are going to say no, but I don’t know yet,” said Watkins.

Sammy made it clear he  is still firm with the Tigers.

“I am solid with Clemson.  I am going to sign with them on signing day,” said Watkins.
