Maybank Excited about Official Visit

Clemson verbal commitment Jerome Maybank didn’t have to travel far to play in the Offense Defense All-American in Myrtle Beach.

“Last week I played in the Offense Defense All-American game.  We lost the game, but it was a great experience,” said Maybank.

The All-American experience allowed Jerome to get to know two of his future teammates better.

“Eric MacLain was there at the game and Joe Gore was there.  We got to know each other better.  We hung out a lot together.  They are awesome guys and good players.  We kicked off that chemistry a little bit,” said Maybank.

Coach Pearman visited his prize recruit on Friday.

“Coach Pearman was here on Friday.  We talked about my official visit on the 14th.  He gave me more details on that visit,” said Maybank.

The All-American looks forward to showing off Tigertown to his mom.

“I am looking forward to the official visit.  I want to learn more about the coaching changes.  I want my mom to see everything.  Me and my dad went to junior day so we have seen everything.  I want to get here up there so she can see the campus and see Vickery Hall,” said Maybank.

Jerome is looking forward to meeting coach Hobby during the visit.

“I haven’t really heard about coach Hobby.  I am anxious to meet him.  At first I as in shock.  Everyone was so tight up there.  It seems like all of those coaches had been friends for a long time.  Seeing three go was a surprise,’ said Maybank.
