Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney held a press conference Thursday to introduce coach Morris, coach Hobby and coach Elliott.
Dabo on coach Morris:
“I started with a list of 10 to 15 guys. I got it down to five, then I got it down to two. Then I picked the final two candidates. I talked to a lot of people. I can’t tell you how highly recommended he is. I love his background. I have always been someone that has taken the road less traveled. I knew people would speculate about how he has only had one year of college. He is a winner. I didn’t know him until I called him. Once he came here and we talked I felt more comfortable. Ironically when I spoke with the second candidate he told me for whatever it is worth my old high school coach is on his staff with him at Tulsa. He talked about what a great guy he is. That was even more confirmation. I look forward to having his family join us here,” said Swinney.
