Just a few days after giving his verbal commitment to the Tigers, Morgan Roberts took his official visit to Clemson. The trip exceeded expectations for the future Clemson quarterback.
How did Morgan enjoy the official visit to Clemson?
Roberts: I loved it. I had a great time. I got to meet coach Morris. He is a great family man and a great coach. I have no doubt that our offense will be one of the best.
Who came with Morgan on the visit?
Roberts: My mom and dad came with me. They loved the visit.
What was the highlight of the visit?
Roberts: I would say being on the field. We got to go run down the hill. I had wondered what that would be like. I got to see what it is like without anyone in the stands. I can’t wait to do it in a real game.
How did the visit rate on a scale of one to ten?
Roberts: I would give it a 10. It was perfect. It was well organized. We got to see every piece of the life you will be involved with at Clemson. We got to see Vickery Hall and we got to see the football facility. Everything was really impressive. They spent the right amount of time on everything.
How did your parents enjoy the visit?
Roberts: They loved it. They got along well with coaches and their families. It really is just a big family. All of the coaches have their kids around. They really have a great family atmosphere. You want to win for everyone. If you lose your family loses.
What did you do Saturday night with your player host?
Roberts: We went to his dorm. We just hung out there and met some players. I met Spencer Shuey who is from Charlotte also. I got to meet some players that will play with me like Adam Humphries and Charone Peake.
Tell us about the conversations with the coaches?
Roberts: I talked to Dabo and coach Morris. We talked about life at Clemson. We did talk about me coming in this summer. I will come down and start in July. I will also try to come down and see some spring practices. I love coach Swinney and am excited about building a stronger relationship with him.
