Future Clemson defensive tackle DeShawn Williams got some good news on Thursday.
“Today I found out I was named to the HS 3A defense team. I was also named one of the top 100 prospects,” said Williams.
Last weekend coach Swinney came by for an in-home visit along with coach Brooks.
“They came by last Sunday. It was a real good visit,” said Williams.
What did the coaches discuss during the visit?
“You could tell they have high expectations for me. They said it will depend on how hard I work and how I am prepared. I have to work hard. When I get there I have to work with coach Batson and bust my butt like I have been,” replied Williams.
The coaches expect DeShawn to make a quick impact like his former Daniel teammate.
“They have high expectations I can play early like Nuke,” said Williams.
The top defensive lineman looks forward to signing day.
“We are going to have a ceremony at 10:00 at my school library,” said Williams.
