Davis Ready to Be a Tiger

Future Clemson defensive back Cortez Davis can’t wait for signing day to get here.

“ I am very excited. I am ready to get it over with,” said Davis.

Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney visited with Cortez and his family last week.

“Dabo and coach Cheese came by the house last Wednesday.  They just told me to focus on my school work and they said they can’t wait to see me come in and play early,” said Davis.

The summer can’t get here soon enough for Cortez.

“I can’t wait to get up there.  I will be up this summer,” said Davis.

The prize recruit talked with a few of his future teammates this week.

“I have talked with Grady this week.  I also talked with Xavier who was my host on my official visit,” said Davis.

Cortez and teammate Marlin Lane will have a signing day ceremony at Mainland high on Wednesday.

“We are having a press conference at my school at 11,” said Davis.

The Florida standout had a message for Clemson fans.

“We are going to get back on track next year.  We are going to have a great season,” said Davis.
