The Tigers remained undefeated at home in the ACC Tuesday night as they defeated Boston College 77-69.

“We played good basketball tonight.  This may have been our best game of the year,” said Brownell.

Jerai Grant led the Clemson with 17 points.  Demontez Stitt poored in 16 while Andre Young added 15.

The Tigers shot 53 percent for the game while they held Boston College to 38 percent.

Clemson jumped out to a 6-0 lead to start the game.  Grant hit two free throws with 16:10 to go to put the Tigers up 10-3. 

Boston College went on an 8-2 run to cut the lead to 12-11.  With 9:00 to go the Eagles took their first lead at 16-15.  The Tigers went six minutes without scoring before Tanner Smith hit a three to cut the lead to 20-18.

Andre Young hit a three with 2:15 to go to give the Tiger back the lead 26-24.  The Tigers ended the half with a dunk by Tanner Smith and another by Jerai Grant.  At the half Clemson led 30-27.

Jerai Grant led the Tigers with eight points at the half.  Boston College dominated the board in the first half leading 24-13.  The Tigers scored ten points off turnovers in the first half while only committing two turnovers themselves.  Clemson only shot 44 percent from the field in the first half while Boston College shot 31 percent.  The Tigers were only 2-10 from three in the first half.

Clemson ran out to a 36-29 lead to start the second half leading to a Boston College timeout.  Jerai Grant took over after the timeout with a dunk and then a three-point play the old fashioned way.

After Stitt hit three free-throws after being fouled the Tigers led 44-41.  Boston College hit a three but Bryan Narcisse responded with one for the Tigers.  Andre Young followed up with another three to stretch the lead to 50-34. 

Boston College went on an 8-2 run to cut the lead to ten.  Clemson responded with a 7-0 run to build the lead to 59-42.  The Eagles responded with a 12-0 run cut the lead to 59-54 with 4:48 to go.

Tanner Smith hit a layup with 4:30 to go to put the Tigers up 61-54.  Andre Young followed with a runner in the lane to build the lead to 63-54.

Andre Young hit a three to stretch the lead to 70-60.  Demontez Stitt hit a running layup with 1:11 to go to put the Tigers up 72-63.  The Tigers hit their free throws down the stretch to finish off the Eagles.

Clemson moved to 17-7 with the win and 6-4 in the ACC.  The Tigers take on the Heels Saturday afternoon in Littlejohn.
