The Shaq Diaries

By Shaq Anthony.

Future Clemson offensive lineman Shaq Anthony, one of the leaders of the 2011 class, is doing a diary with  In this edition Shaq talks about signing day, his workout plans and much more!

I was very excited that we picked up Spencer, Tony, Stephone and Rod on signing day.  I signed that morning, but we had a ceremony at my school.  One of my resource officers came and got me out of class after Tony announced for Clemson.  I went home and watched Stephone announce.

I texted Tony and told him I was proud of him.  I know that was hard for him to do.  It is hard to do something that everyone doesn’t want you to do.  It is good to know he has that kind of character.

I have talked to Eric MacLain, DeShaun Williams, Ryan Norton, Charone Peake and Jerome Maybank this week.  I also text a little with Tony Steward.  I talked with Roderick Byers some as well.

I am very excited about the 2011 class.  I always expected the class to finish strong.

I am doing my workouts by myself every day.  I am ready to get to Clemson with the team and workout with coach Batson.  I am working at a training facility close to home, Velocity sports.  I am training there five days a week.  On the weekend I workout at our school, running stairs in the stadium.  It is tough, but it makes you feel a whole lot better.
