Rally Cats Prepare for Nationals

By Georgia Anderson.

The Rally Cats may have busier weekends ahead of us, but this weekend will be good preparation for those to come.  We have our last practice preparing for the long awaited Valentine’s Day Halftime performance Friday afternoon, and from then on out we will be going, going, going.  Saturday’s game against UNC will kick off our weekend.  As always, we are hoping for a big crowd and another great win from the tigers.  Also, I’m sure the fourteen lucky guys dancing with us would love a packed house to see them shine at halftime!

Following the basketball game will be the true beginning of our journey to nationals.  We will be learning our routine from 4pm-10pm on Saturday and from 9am-3pm on Sunday.  While I’m sure we will be worn out and no doubt stressed by the end of the weekend, I am so excited to get started.  This will be a great bonding time for the team, as well as an exciting challenge for us to conquer throughout the coming months.

Now, I have some exciting news for all of you Rally Cat fans out there.  In efforts to raise money for our trip to Daytona, FL in April, we are selling I love the Clemson Rally Cats t-shirts!  I know, I know, you cannot wait to buy one!  To order a t-shirt go to the spirit squad page on the Clemson athletics website.  You can fill out and mail in an order form, and your shirt will be on its way.  We are also now accepting donations, which will go towards our trip to nationals.

Another thing not to forget is our quickly approaching College Prep Clinics.  They will be Sunday, February 20, and Sunday, February 27, from 4pm-7pm.  Visit our website for more information and registration forms!  Thanks for all the support!
