Great crowds packed Doug Kingsmore over the weekend to support the Tigers as they battled Eastern Michigan.

TCI Hitter-of-the Week                    #22 Spencer Kieboom

The sophomore catcher from Marietta, GA went 5-for-9 (.556) in three games last week for Clemson. Kieboom had a double, two sacrifices, and two walks to go along with eight RBI. The right RBI are only two off of the 10 that Kieboom recorded in 30 games in 2010.

TCI Pitcher-of-the-Week                 #19 Kevin Brady

The redshirt sophomore from Gaithersburg, MD set career highs for strikeouts and innings pitched in his start on Sunday. In 5.1 innings, Brady allowed two hits, one run, and one walk while striking out 10 to earn the win over Eastern Michigan. Brady eclipsed previous highs of 5.0 innings and eight strikeouts set March 16, 2010 at Charlotte.

Weekend Notes:

Clemson, ranked as high as #4 in the nation, took two of three games from Eastern Michigan at Doug Kingsmore Stadium. The Tigers outscored the Eagles 25-11, while outhitting them .337 to .228. On the weekend, Clemson also totaled 25 walks and eight steals, while the pitching staff had a 3.67 ERA and 26 strikeouts while allowing six walks.

Leggett Moves into top-20 in all-time wins

With two wins this past weekend, Head Coach Jack Leggett moved into a tie for 20th place in all-time victories by a head coach at a Division I school. Leggett is also seventh in terms of winnings among active head coaches at a Division I school.
