Oliver Jones was on campus again for Clemson’s second junior day. Jones was feeling under the weather but still made the hour and a half drive up to Clemson.
“It was a good time, I went to the basketball game and pretty much left after that, I had already been on a tour and everything of the facilities a bunch of times so I left after the game,” said Jones. “I talked to all the coaches but talked mostly with Coach Swinney, (offensive line) Coach Caldwell, and (receivers) Coach Scott. There were a lot of guys there but it was a good time.”
The standout offensive lineman said he is looking at most of the schools in the ACC and SEC.
“I wouldn’t say I have a favorite, I am looking at a bunch of schools in the southeast, because that is where the best ball is played,” said Jones.
The 6’6” 285 lbs. lineman has visited Clemson a bunch of times now, what makes it different than other schools?
“I think that it’s just more familiar to me right now. I haven’t really been to that many places, so it’s just more familiar to me,” said Jones.
What his decision going to come down to?
“It will come down to where I feel like God wants me to be. A place I can play early as possible even though that’s not necessarily a great thing sometimes. A school I can get my degree, and enjoy my time there for the next 4-5 years of my life,” replied Jones.
