TheClemsonInsider.com brings you some notes from the Tiger’s 10-5 victory over South Carolina.

With the win, Clemson has now won 7 of the last 11 games between the teams at Doug Kingsmore Stadium dating back to the 2005 season.

The win over the #4 Gamecocks was Leggett’s 209th win at Clemson over a top-25 team and 53rd over a top-5 team.

The matchup between Tanner (1037 wins) and Leggett (1153 wins) is one of two series this weekend among the top-10 winningest active head coaches in Division I. Mark Marquess (1393 wins) of Stanford and Augie Garrido (1689 wins) of Texas also met this weekend as Texas took two of three games in Austin.

Joseph Moorefield earned his first career win in today’s contest.

With an RBI single in the seventh inning, sophomore Spencer Kieboom gained his 11th RBI of the season, taking only nine games to pass his mark of 10 RBI from last season.

Jeff Schaus’ two hits and three RBI were both season highs. Will Lamb also had a season-high two RBI and recorded his first two-hit game since opening day.

With a win Tuesday at Fluor Field in Greenville, Clemson would win the regular-season series with the Gamecocks for the second year in a row and end a five-game losing streak to South Carolina in neutral site contests (the last Tiger win at a neutral site was March 31, 1990 at old G-Braves Stadium in Greenville).
