Tanner Smith had an outstanding game for the Tigers Saturday against North Carolina scoring 14 points and hitting 4-7 from three. After the game Smith could only focus on the one that wouldn’t fall. With the Tigers up by seven with 3:18 to go Smith had an open three that might have sealed the victory for the Tigers.
“It felt good. I thought it was in. It was short. I think we ended up getting the rebound. I had a couple of chances to get that dagger three but I just couldn’t put it in there,” said Smith.
Tanner praised the play of senior Demontez Stitt.
“He is a leader. He brings so much energy to the court. You have to follow a guy like that. He did a great job today,” said Smith.
