Stolz, Tigers Bounce Back

By Trey McCurry. caught up with Jason Stolz following the Tigers 16-7 victory over Duke.

On the last two games:

I think the lineup switch got us going. The top of the lineup has done a good job and got us going yesterday and we have been rolling since then. Everyone has been feeling better about their swings and are gaining confidence with each at-bat.

On the team’s bounce-back ability the last two games:

It is huge. It takes all the momentum away from the other team. Tonight we have a five-run, seven-run, and three-run inning and that can really deflate the other team. It just gets the momentum back in our direction.

On being able to get the series win tonight:

Coming off the five-game losing streak, it is just huge. Getting these two wins is big for us, but for the fans too. It gets every back to where we need to be for the rest of the season.
