Aiken: "Something big about to happen"

By Ashley Denny.

Martin Aiken, one of the top defensive linemen in the South, visited Clemson on Saturday with his mother to take in the Orange White game.

“I enjoyed it.  Man the defense looks pretty good,” said Aiken.

The 4-star defensive lineman left Clemson with a new feeling.

“Before the game I was just ready to see the boys get started but after the game I saw that they have been working hard and that something big is about to happen,” said Aiken.

What was the highlight of the visit?

“I liked how coach Swinney took me and my mom and talked to us about the program and answered her questions,” replied Aiken.

How did the Bamberg standout feel it would feel to play in front of 85,000 fans in Death Valley?

“The crowd wouldn’t be a problem at all.  It would be really exciting playing in front of that many people,” replied Aiken.

Coach Swinney made a good impression on Martin’s mother.

“My mom loved the visit.  Especially meeting one on one with coach swinney and having him tell her about the program.  It meant a lot for him to take time to meet with her,” said Aiken.
