Georgia Tech’s Mark Pope came into Friday’s nights game with a 9-1 record and a 1.01 ERA, but it was Clemson’s Dominic Leone that won the pitching battle in game one.

Leone went eight innings for the second week in a row, only giving up two hit and two earned runs.
