The Tiger coaching staff has already handed out 15+ scholarships to some of the best defensive backs in the country.  Cornerback Brian Poole, from Southeast High School (FL) is one of those top guys, and he already has too many scholarships to count.

“Everything is going pretty good, I am up over 30 scholarships right now pretty much everyone has offered me,” said Poole.

Clemson is one of the schools that have offered; is Clemson going to be a school he considers?

“Of course,” said Poole.  “They have a pretty nice program up there.  I have been talking with Coach Scott, he says that I am a top priority for them and I could get on the field early.”

The key will be getting the 5’11” 190 lbs. cornerback on campus.  The Florida native says he plans to take some visits up north sometime in the future.  Does location play a role in his decision?

“I mean, if I find somewhere out of state that has everything I am looking for then that will be it, location doesn’t matter,” said Poole.

Poole said the top priority is a school that will let him get on the field early and help him graduate.  As of now everyone is equal though.

How would he describe his strengths as a player and what he is working on in the off-season?

“My strengths are my size and speed, I can move pretty good for my size,” said Poole. “I will continue to work on my speed in the off-season, you can never be too fast.  I will also work on my agility and just polishing everything.”

The standout cornerback had 58 tackles, 3 interceptions, along with 925 yards rushing, 21 touchdowns and 2 of 2 passing for 90 yards and a touchdown.  He says he is in no rush and is going to take his time with his decision.

After signing one cornerback as part of the 2021 class in four-star Nathaniel Wiggins, Clemson plans to take at least two corners in the 2022 class, possibly three. In our
