By Ashley Denny.

CLEMSON, SC- Mason Zandi, an offensive line prospect out of Chapin, SC was on hand for Clemson’s second session of Dabo Swinney Football Camp this week and left with a reason to smile, a possible grey shirt offer from the Tigers for 2012.

Although the grey shirt offer is not official yet, Zandi was able to have some one on one time with Clemson Head Coach Dabo Swinney, where Swinney expressed to Zandi how impressed he was with what he saw from him.

TCI had a chance to catch up with Zandi after he left camp Thursday afternoon and heard his thoughts about Clemson’s camp and how his first trip to Tiger Town went.

First of all Mason, what did you think about Clemson’s camp?

I loved it. I had a really great time at Clemson and learned a lot. It was my first trip to Clemson so being there for three days for camp was just great.

You say that this week was your first trip up to Clemson, what were the highlights of your trip?

I would have to say being able to have some one on one time with Coach Swinney was a highlight. And being told by Coach Swinney that they were looking into possibly offering me a grey-shirt, which was great to hear because it makes me work harder.

What did you think of Clemson as a campus?

I loved it. Clemson’s campus is absolutely beautiful and I love how everywhere you need to go is within walking distance.

While you were there did you have a chance to interact with any of the coaches?

I spent a lot of time with my position coach, Coach Caldwell and he definitely helped me out a lot and gave me advice to improve my game. I also had a chance to speak with Coach Swinney one on one which was great.

What did Coach Swinney say to you when you spoke with him?

He mainly told me that he was impressed with what he saw from me, especially my ability to move and my quickness. He told me that they were looking into the possibility of offering me a grey shirt which was very exciting news.

Which other schools have shown interest in you so far?

South Carolina, East Carolina and Clemson mainly.

Out of those three schools do you have a leader yet?

Definitely Clemson, I love the coaches and campus there. I had a great visit this week and plan on coming up for a few football games this fall.
