Shortly after calling the Clemson staff to make his verbal commitment to the Tigers, Javarius Leamon spoke with TheClemsonInsider.com to discuss the big decision.
Clemson recruiting coordinator Jeff Scott and head coach Dabo Swinney got some good news Friday when Javarius Leamon called with good news.
“I called coach Scott and he got me on a three-way with coach Swinney. I asked coach Scott when he was going to let me commit and he told me he had been waiting on me for a couple of weeks. I told the I was ready. They were both excited,” said Leamon.
Why did the 4-star lineman decided he wanted to be a Tiger?
“I spent a lot of time talking with my mom the past few weeks. We just felt Clemson was the right place. It just feels like home,” replied Leamon.
The Woodruff standout wanted to get the decision over before his senior season.
“I wanted to get it done. I want to be able to concentrate on trying to win a state championship this year,” said Leamon.
How firm is his commitment to the Tigers?
“I am solid,” replied Leamon.
