Boyd - Should be Special Season

By caught up with Clemson starting quarterback Tajh Boyd after Saturday’s scrimmage.

“It went okay.  We did a lot of good things.  We are just tuning up and getting ready for the Troy game.  Everyone got a lot of good work in today,” said Boyd.

How was the tempo in Saturday’s scrimmage?

“The tempo is picking up.  Everybody is responding well.  It is going really well right now,” said Boyd.

Is Tempo a secondary issue at this point after doing it every day in practive?

“It has got to be.  The key to this offense is pace.  For instance we had a situation where we had 12 men on the field.  That is not a situation we want to be in.  The faster the offense goes the better the offense will go,” said Boyd.

Tajh expects to see a lot of different defenses this year, but expects good things for the Tigers.

“It should be a special season.  We are just going to take it day by day,” said Boyd.
