Ellington - SEC a Conference, Not a Team

By

Andre Ellington showed that he is back with a great performance against Wofford.

“It felt good to get back out there with my teammates and just get out there and execute.  We didn’t do too well in the first half, but in the second half we had improvement” said Ellington.

Last year Andre had a big game against Auburn as he gained 140 yards on 22 carries.  What led to his success in 2010 against Auburn?

“Those guys up front.  They made me have the type of game that I had.  Hopefully they will go into this week and prepare the way they did last year for this game,” said Ellington.

How did it feel to walk off the field with the overtime loss last year at Auburn?

“It was heartbroken more than anything.  we felt like we should have won the game but some things just didn’t go our way.  We felt like we prepared well enough to win that game,” said Ellington.

Does Andre feel like the offensive line is playing physical enough?

“Those guys are working.  It is a new offense and those guys have to get familiar with it.  A lot of the blocking schemes are different than what they knew in the past.  I see them prepare each and every week,” said Ellington.

Do the Tigers want to win to help the league against the SEC?

“Not at all.  The SEC is not a team, it is a conference.  Auburn is the team and we are going to focus on Clemson,” said Ellington.
