The Guillermo Diaries

By Jay Guillermo.

Clemson verbal commitment Jay Guillermo, one of the leaders of the 2012 recruiting class, is doing a diary with  In this edition the All-American talks about his visit to Clemson for the Wofford game and much more!

We had a bye last week.  It came at a great time.  I will get to play this week.  Thankfully my ankle wasn’t fractured.  I went and took an x-ray.   They said I just had some messed tendors.  I will have to play with a little pain.  I don’t like to miss any games so I am ready to play.

I had a great time at Clemson.  I came down with my other grandfather and my dad.  We got home and my grandfather was ecstatic about how everything was.  That was his first time ever being in Clemson.

I got to talk with Patrick, Oliver, Shaq, Bradley, Jay Jay and some others.  I called Jarvasis before I go there.  He didn’t get to come.  I also talked some with Joe Gore and Spencer Region.  We had a good time.

It is a win.  It is like coach Swinney said at the end.  They played better last year and lost.  It is hard to stop that triple option.  The offensive line game up some pressure and a couple of sacks, but that is always going to happen.

I kept my eyes on Dalton most of the day.  I thought he did a good job.  I don’t know the offense yet so I’m not sure about assignments, but I know he drove off the ball.

I will be back for Auburn and Florida State.  This weekend I am bringing my grandfather, the one that coached, and my mom.  I am also bringing our sophomore running back, Shawn Prevo.  He started for us last year as a freshman.  I have talked to coach Brooks and coach Elliott about him. The kid is fast, but not extremely fast, but runs like a 220 pound back.  He has gotten over 100 yards each game this year.
