CLEMSON, SC- Clemson verbal commitment Travis Blanks, the top recruit in the Tigers 2012 class is doing a diary with TheClemsonInsider.com. In this edition, Blanks talks about how his season is going so far, going on his official visit to Clemson this weekend when they face off against the Seminoles of Florida State, and the stress that goes along with graduating early.

So far this season, my team has gone undefeated including a really exciting 25-20 victory over a local team in which I had a 40 yard touchdown catch. Because of the fact that I’m graduating in a little over two months, school has gotten very stressful with everything going on, but I’m just focusing on everything at hand now and taking everything one step at a time.

Although I didn’t get the chance to watch the Clemson/Auburn game Saturday, I’ve heard a lot of buzz about it and I was definitely excited to see that Clemson had ended their winning streak.  Not a lot of people thought that Clemson was going to be any good this year and they’re proving them wrong.

I will be up to Clemson for the Florida State game this weekend with my mom and step dad and I’m very excited to see the game day atmosphere in Death Valley.  I haven’t planned any official visits other than my trip to Clemson.

Although I’m very excited to start take the next step and play college football, I’m taking everything one step at a time and focusing on my senior season instead of looking ahead.

Once I’ve graduated and started at school then I’ll be able to focus on my new team and making a name for myself in college.
