The Guillermo Diaries

By Jay Guillermo.

All-American Jay Guillermo, one of the leaders of the 2012 recruiting class, is  doing a diary with  In this edition Jay talks about the surging Tigers, several prospects he has been talking with and much more!

We had a little Clemson party Saturday.  We had a couple of friends over to watch the game.  We got to see my Tigers roll over the Hokies.

23-3 is a pretty dang good score against a team like Virginia Tech.  I was real impressed.  It was just the athletics that impressed me but we went and beat three ranked teams in a row.  The Clemson team last year wouldn’t have done that.

It was kind of like Travis Blanks said on Facebook.  When he committed to Clemson everyone asked why are you going to Clemson.  They don’t do anything good.  Now that we picked Clemson and they are No. 8 everyone is like you made a great choice.  Beating these big ranked teams really helps.

We won 40-6 this week.  We are now 6-0.  We played really well.  Our quarterback Patton threw for two or three touchdowns.  Shawn ran for one touchdown.  Our defense held them for under 100 yards.

We play Knoxville Catholic this week.  They run a 3-3 stack.  I love playing against that so I am pretty excited.

I talked with everyone when I was there for Florida State.  I stayed the night and we went over to Patrick’s house on Sunday.  We ate lunch together.

I try to keep in touch with everybody.  I have been talking with Javarius some.

I talked with Keith Brown at the game.  He really liked it there.  He was at The Opening with me.  I remember watching him.  That kid is a great athlete.  If we could get him on board that would be great.

I have been talking with Carlos Watkins some.  He played my old team from North Carolina this past week.  I talked to my old coach and he said Jay when that kid gets to Clemson he is going to be a star.  He is a freak.

I am excited to see what we can do it in the future.  I think we are going to be pretty special.
