Ellington Back to 2010 Form

Andre Ellington put on a show Saturday night that reminded Clemson fans of last season.  On the night Andre had 24 carries for 213 yards and two touchdowns.

TheClemsonInsider.com caught up with Andre in Byrd Stadium following the win.

Andre credited his offensive line for his impressive performance.

“Just up front.  Those guys took a lot of leadership.  During the week the coaches kind of got after us.  They said they expected us to have a big game.  We just took it and went with it and tried to make the best of it,” said Ellington.

How did the Tigers come back from 18 points down in the second half.

“It was just our heart.  We stuck together as a team.  We got each others back.  Defense has our back and we have theirs,” said Ellington.

Did Maryland’s defense get tired in the second half?

“Yeah we kind of let our tempo get to them.  We weren’t tired at all.  We just went out there and played,” said Ellington.
