With football season wells underway and basketball season ready to get started the Rally Cat Report returns to TheClemsonInsider.com. Each week get the latest from one of the Tiger’s Rally Cats.
This week for the Rally Cats has been a little slower than our regular hectic schedules. Coming off of an away game and heading into a bye weekend, our practices have been focused mainly on technique. It is always a nice change to be able to practice our skills and just dance, as opposed to preparing for a performance or cleaning sidelines for a game.
While the week was a little slower than normal, we were invited to dance at up ‘til dawn Thursday night; doing appearances at philanthropies such as that, relay for life, and dance marathon are always rewarding experiences. It is great to see people giving their time to help others and to have the opportunity to be a part of it.
This weekend marks the beginning of the second phase of the Rally Cat season, basketball! We will be dancing at the first basketball game, an exhibition game against Queens, this Saturday at 7pm. We do a lot more dancing at basketball games than at football games, and often times get to perform at halftime. This allows us to choreograph several new dances over the course of the season, which is something we love to do.
On a less happy note, our last home football game is only one week away! It has been so exciting cheering on this team and we are so proud of all they have accomplished. I can’t wait to see them finish out strong as they play in Death Valley for the last time this season. Go Tigers!
