“Definitely, playing nine weeks without a bye defintiely has a little wear and tear on the guys physically and mentally. Having a couple of days off really did help. We came back yesterday and it was probably one of the strongest Monday practices that I have ever had. Everybody is definitely excited about the game Saturday,” said Boyd.
Tajh didn’t have his best performance against Georgia Tech. Did the bye week give him a chance to cleanse himself of the loss and the team?
“Yes, definitely. Naturally as a competitor you want to play right after a loss like that. I wished we could have played last Saturday but at the same time we really needed to give the time some time to refresh. I really think a lot of good is going to come from it. It gave us more time to prepare for Wake Forest as a team and they have a really solid squad so it is definitely going to be a challenge,” said Boyd.
How special would it be to clinch the Atlantic Division on senior day?
“I am defintely excited about it. To clinch it on senior day would be awesome. These seniors have worked so hard in their preparation, leadershp and their role with this team,” said Boyd.
You call those shoes?
“Five fingers,” said Boyd.
And you like them because?
“Swag, no I’m just kidding. I just felt like I wanted to get a pair. I have seen a couple of people wear them and they looked pretty comfortable. They give my toes some room and space so I just kind of tried them out today,” said Boyd.
