One of the biggest questions as the South Carolina game approaches is the health of freshman sensation Sammy Watkins and starting left tackle Phillip Price.

Following Tuesday night’s practice Sammy spoke about his progress.

“I feel fine.   I am getting a lot of treatment and getting better every day so I can get better as quickly as possible.  I have made a lot of progress and think I will be close to 100 percent by game time.   With the game being at 7:45 PM instead of a noon game, it should help just like I had another day,” said Watkins.

Sammy is excited to return to the field for the Tigers.

“I am excited to play South Carolina because I know about the rivalry.   It is a nationally televised game against a top 15 team. I am most excited to just get back on the field and help this team,” said Watkins.

Price believes he will be ready to play Saturday night at Williams Bryce.

“It was a good day of practice and I feel good.  I did all the physical drills I need to do to prepare for a game.  I did everything and felt good at the end of practice so that gives me confidence.    I did all the pass set drills and all the run blocking drills.  I really feel I will be ready to play on Saturday,” said Price.
