Allen Already Past It

Clemson fell to South Carolina Saturday night at Williams-Brice Stadium.  How do the Tigers move on Saturday night’s game?

“I am already past it.  We didn’t come out and do the things necessary to win and that’s that, that’s that.  We have an ACC Championship to focus on against a very good Virginia Tech team,” said Allen.

Do the Tigers need to press the reset button?

“We don’t need to hit the reset.  If we do that it is too far back.  We just need to keep going and fix the little things that we messed up,” said Allen.

How do the Tigers fix their problems converting third downs?

“We have to do good on third down.  That is something we didn’t do tonight.  We have to complete third downs and keep our defense off the field and rested.  We didn’t do that,” said Allen.

What has been the difference the past four weeks with the offensive struggles?

“I still can’t put my finger on it and this is a dangerous thing coming into the ACC Championship game.  I felt like offensively we kind of got into a groove in that first half but to open the second half we needed a score right there.  We needed a score right there to maintain momentum and swing the game back in our favor and we didn’t get it,” said Allen.
