Tuesday afternoon 5-star running back Keith Marshall announced for Georgia over Clemson.  The Clemson staff quickly made a move on another top running back Mike Davis.

Mike, the younger brother of former Clemson great James Davis, committed to the University of Florida early in 2011, but recently decommitted from the Gators.

Coach Elliott got in touch with Mike Tuesday night.

“Yeah Clemson called me last night.  I talked with coach Elliott.  He said they would come see me soon.  He said they were talking about an offer,” said Davis.

Which official visits does Mike currently have planned?

“Right now it is Florida State and South Carolina,” replied Davis.

Will the Tigers get an official visit?

“I will decide after we meet,” replied Davis.

Brother James Davis had urged the top running back to take all of his official visits.  Does James want to see Mike play for the Tigers?

“Oh yeah,” said Davis.
