Clemson fell to Arizona 63-47 Saturday afternoon in Tucson, AZ.  The Tigers went cold in the first half scoring on 16 points.  Clemson rallied in the second half, but Arizona put the Tigers away down the stretch.

Andre Young led the Tigers with 17 points.  Devin Booker added nine for the Tigers who struggled from the field, shooting only 31 percent for the game.

K.J. McDaniels provided a spark for Clemson in the second half.  McDaniels finished the game with 7 points on 3-6 shooting including a three.

Arizona jumped out to a quick lead scoring their first three trips down the floor for a 7-2 lead.  After hitting their first shot the Tigers missed nine in a row. 

Bernard Sullivan finally hit a shot for the Tigers to cut the lead to 7-4.  Arizona went on an 8-2 run to stretch the lead to 15-6 after back to back threes.

Arizona stretched the lead to 14.  Andre Young hit a jumper to cut the lead to 24-10.  Andre scored again off a turnover to cut the lead to eight.  Clemson didn’t score in the final 3:51 as Arizona went on an 8-0 run to end the half with a 29-16 lead.

Clemson struggled from the field only hitting 22 percent in the first half.  Devin Booker and Milton Jennings led the Tigers with four points each at the half.

Arizona surged to an 18 point lead in the second half.  Clemson rallied to cut the lead to eight, but the Wildcats put the game away in the final minutes.

The Tigers fell to 4-4 on the season with the loss.  Clemson will play Wintrop next Saturday at Littlejohn Coliseum.
