Davis - Mom Still Loves Clemson

How things have changed in a couple of weeks for 4-star running back Mike Davis.  Since he opened his recruitment offers have come quickly.  Clemson quickly moved in with an offer after missing out on Keith Marshall, and Oklahoma followed with an offer.

Several schools stopped by to see Mike this week.

“Oklahoma, Miami and Clemson have all been by this week,” said Davis.

Coach Elliott made a visit for the Tigers.

“Coach Elliott came by yesterday.  He came by the house.  It went well.  He was telling me about the situation at running back,” said Davis.

Mike’s mom was glad to see the Clemson staff back in the house.

“My mom still loves Clemson,” said Davis.

The prize recruit is still working to finalize his visits, but he knows of one visit.

“I am going to visit Clemson on January 20th,” said Davis.

When asked where Clemson stands, Davis responded, “Clemson is in the same place as everyone else.  I don’t have a leader or anything.  They are the same as everyone else”.

What will be important when Mike makes his final decision?

“I will look at the depth chart.  I want to be somewhere near home.  I want to go somewhere where they have my major broadcasting,” replied Davis.

Former Tiger standout and big brother James Davis is giving some advice.

“He is just telling me to take my time and enjoy the ride,” said Davis.
