TheClemsonInsider.com caught up with Jonathan Bullard following his impressive Shrine Bowl performance where he totalled two sacks.
“It went good. I thought we played way better in the second half than we did in the first half. We came out with a spark that we didn’t have in the first half on both sides of the ball,” said Bullard.
Carlos Watkins and Jonathan met at the quarterback several times Saturday.
“Yeah we did (smiling). We were rushing at him. We were just trying to have fun. We have one more game to play together and maybe more. We are going to the US Army game. We were just trying to make it fun,” said Bullard.
Was there any trash talk between Carlos and Jonathan on the field.
“Nah, I made one sack and he was like if you could have just made him cut back in I would have had him. I was like well I didn’t want it to be yours. We were just playing,” said Bullard.
The two star defensive linemen need to work on the chest bump.
“(laughing) Yeah we do,” said Bullard.
The prize recruit is looking forward to playing in the US Army All-American game.
“That is also something else that I have always wanted to do. It will be a great experience, a once in a lifetime thing. I am looking forward to it,” said Bullard.
Jonathan will announce his decision Wednesday at a press conference. The All-American looks forward to ending the recruiting process.
“Yeah. I enjoyed it. At first I wanted the attention, every kid does. I am just blessed to be able to go through this. I am just ready to get it over with and know where I will be spending the next three or four years of my life,” said Bullard.
