Tajh Boyd spoke with the Clemson media for the final time Tuesday before heading to Florida for Orange Bowl practices.
Is the excitement level building as they stand only one practice away from heading to South Florida?
“It is definitely exciting. It is kind of bitter sweet though. As we get closer to the bowl game you know that for some of these guys it is the last time you will play with them. We are going out there working as hard as we can knowing that at the end of the day it is all about the guys that you play with,” said Boyd.
After watching the film of the ACC Championship Game what changed from the four previous games?
“It was just refocusing on the things that got us into that position. I think we had so much success early that as the games starting going along we forgot what got us to that point. I think we just went back and focused on the small things and that made the difference,” said Boyd.
What will Tajh do for Christmas?
“Just sit around the house honestly. Coach Morris will be here and obviously I will be here since I live in Senaca so I will probably get up with him and watch some things. I will probably just hang around. The guys are making jokes about hey Tajh are you going home then say oh that is right you are already home,” said Boyd.
Which was the better experience seeing your house egged or oranged?
“Definitely a lot better experience going to the house and seeing a lot of oranges everywhere instead of eggs. It was just one of those learning experiences. Regardless of the experience good or bad you have to take things in stride. You need to focus on the things you can control. Really the only things you can counts on are your teammates and yourself,” said Boyd.
What is the focus of the team as they head to Florida?
“It is not a vacation at all. Going down there is a business trip. We have one goal in mind and that is to win the game,” said Boyd.
