Clemson junior center Dalton Freemen met with the media following practice to discuss the Orange Bowl.
What has Dalton seen from West Virginia in the film?
“West Virginia is very athletic. They present a good challenge for us. They can run three and they can run around you. It is something we will have to spend a lot of time preparing for,” said Freeman.
How has the focus been this week compared to last year’s bowl?
“It is the holiday season so everyone is ready to get home but normally we have to get guys going. This week it has been great focus and a lot of energy. Today I was expecting it to be a little sloppy because of the weather but we went out and had a pretty good practice. It is a totally different team and it is great not to have to keep everybody going,” said Freeman.
How do you get the balance right between having fun and getting the job done at the bowl?
“We are definitely going down there for a reason. They are not inviting us down there to ride jet skies and lay on the beach. They are inviting us to play a football game. That will be our focus. At the same time it is a reward for us for all of our hard work. It is hard to find the right balance but our coaches do a good job of setting up the schedule so we are very disciplined in our routine. When it is time to work we work and when it is time to play we will be able to play,” said Freeman.
