4-star linebacker Cassanova McKinzy took an official visit to Clemson over the weekend. The Auburn commit left Tigertown with plenty to consider before signing day.
“I liked it a lot. It was really worth taking a look,” said McKinzy.
Who came with the prize recruit on his visit?
“I came by myself,” said McKinzy.
Clemson’s new defensive coordinator made a big impression on Cassanova.
“I mean he’s really, really cool and down to earth. I love the way he runs his defense. It is simple, fast and easy but it works. I spent the majority of my time with him. You gotta love him,” said McKinzy.
How did Cassanova feel about coach Swinney and the rest of the staff?
“The whole staff is caring and amazing in their own way,” said McKinzy.
How did the top linebacker rate the visit?
“I would give the visit an eight,” said McKinzy.
Who was his player host?
“Corico. We hung around with Meeks, Tajh and Sammy,” said McKinzy.
What was the highlight of the visit?
“It was the people and getting to hang out with the guys. They are so humble. Sammy, man that dude is one of a kind,” replied McKinzy.
The Auburn verbal commitment didn’t want to discuss his commitment status following the visit.
“I would prefer not to talk about that,” said McKinzy.
