Rally Cat Report

The Rally Cats will do their best to energize the fans in Death Valley or Littlejohn.  Each week get the latest from one of the Tiger’s Rally Cats.

Basketball season sure does keep us Rally Cats on our toes! We have been working hard at each practice to make sure we always have a fun and fresh halftime to show off to the Clemson family at each home basketball game! Learning new dances, which are taught by our teammates, is something we all thoroughly enjoy! All of the halftime performances that have been done at so far have been choreographed by our very talented teammates and each week we showcase different teammate’s choreography skills by performing their dance. Learning a different routine each week keeps us excited and ready to come to practice each night; it isn’t easy perfecting a dance with just three practices each week! Somehow we always seem to pull ourselves together and come out with a wonderful performance! This upcoming halftime performance that will be performed on Saturday, January 28th is choreographed by Junior Rally Cat, Alexa Parker. Alexa has an energetic and ‘fun to watch’ style in her dancing and all of us Rally Cats are very excited to show off her routine on Saturday! Along with learning new dances, it is always fun to decide on what we are going to wear for each halftime performance; we like to spice it up and try not to repeat halftime outfits!

A very exciting halftime performance that is right around the corner is the annual Valentine’s Day halftime! This halftime is different than all the other performances the Rally Cats do. Each Rally Cat is able to choose a lucky guy to be their ‘dancing partner’ for this particular halftime. The Senior Rally Cats are always in charge of coming up with the choreography for this dance, and the guys find it extremely fun to attend our practices for a week, and they get a very small taste of what the life of a Rally Cat consists of! We will start practicing our Valentine’s Day halftime within the upcoming week, and we hope to make it the most entertaining halftime yet!!

Along with our busy schedules of learning new routines, the Rally Cats are preparing for three different College Prep Clinics during the months of February and March. Two of these dates have been confirmed: February 18th from 11:00am -2:00pm and February 26th from 6:00pm- 9:00pm. The locations for these clinics are TBA, but check out the athletic website for more information! The Rally Cats are also gearing up for the weekend of February 11th-12th, which is when we will learn our Nationals routine!

We have a lot of exciting performances, events and appearances coming up within the next few months and we cannot wait for all the new memories to be made!

Come out and cheer on our Clemson Tigers Basketball team this Saturday at 12 Noon when the Tigers take on Wake Forest! Also, feel free to cheer extra loud when us Rally Cats take the court to perform our energetic halftime routine!

GO TIGERS!
